Insurance has been submitted

I spoke with my PCP office today and they faxed my pre approval form to the insurance on 7/26/07. I talked to the insurance company yesterday with questions and they said yesterday that they are working on stuff they received on the 20th. So hopefully, I will hear something next week.

My doc submitted mine the 20th! What insurance do you have? I have BCBS. Sounds like we my be loser buddies. I hope for a fast approval for both of us.  Robin

I have Anthem Blue Access.  It is very possible we could be loser buddies. Good luck to you! Jenny

I had Anthem BCBS and my paperwork was faxed to insurance on a thursday and i had my answer on Monday. they dont mess around up there unless they are backed up for some reason.  You should hear something very soon. they say to expect it to take 3 weeks or more but i dont think it usually does in most cases.  Good Luck,  Carla

Well I actually called them again since posting this initially. I wanted to ask them if my PCP submitted it saying I was going to do the lap, but instead wanted to have the RNY if that mattered. She said no.  My paperwork was sent to the Indiana office, but I guess they are behind, so Ohio office is helping them.  I was talking to the Ohio office and she said to refax it to them there in the Ohio office that they are now working on yesterday stuff and I should have an answer by the end of the week.  So I am all excited now.  I go to the info session with my new docs ofc (already been thru this meeting once) but since I changed docs I have to do it again. I have seen the psychologist. I guess I meet with the doc one on one after the info session and hopefully my surgery can be scheduled by next week.  I am not sure how Dr Gupta's office does things.  Anyone know? Jenny

Sorry, I have know info on Dr. Gupta, BUT wanted to let ya know that I am wishing for a speedy approval for you and keeping you in my thoughts and prayers!!!
